This week has been a very musical week in Sandymere. On Wednesday we went on our school trip to visit the Liverpool Philharmonic to see an orchestra perform a range of songs. The children really enjoyed this expeirence. It really inspired children listening to the music live and seeing a full orchestra with their wonderful instruments.

This week we also had a music lesson with Mr Benson which linked to our school trip. The children learnt some call and response songs. They have then moved onto working in groups to use instruments to create their own pieces of music. The children really enjoyed starting this topic with Mr Benson.

This week we have also continued learning about Romans and the children were introduced into to BC and AD and using this to talk about important dates. The children are enjoying learning about how the Romans changed Britian.

Next week we're holding a collective worship at 9am at St Peter's Church. The children will be sharing lots of information about our year in Sandymere. Children need to be dropped off at the Church for 9am and we encourage parents to stay for the collective worship and then bring the children back to school. The collective worship will take approximately 20-30 minutes.

We hope you have a lovely weekend,

Miss Hume, Mr Ashworth, Mrs Cowap, Miss Bannon and Miss Wyatt
